Weather Machine

The Weather Machine is inspired by Suikinkutsu and the natural water cycle: evaporation, precipitation and flow, which are mimicked using electronics and a closed water circuit to create a musical user driven experience.

Audiences interact with the machine by holding heart rate paddles: the heartbeat is used to “power” the water cycle instead of the sun.

Through interaction it is hoped participants will consider the role they play in the water cycle and the environment.
